This expanded emoji update brings you the fun and expressiveness that you love into your Teams messages along with a wider range of diverse emojis. This emoji expansion is available for Teams desktop app ( Windows and Mac), Teams mobile (Android and iOS) and Teams on the web.
This updated emoji picker expands offerings from 85 emojis to more than 800. They are all easily accessed by using a category selector.
Microsoft have added a skin tone selector for applicable emojis.

You can use the search box to filter emojis:

When you are in the desktop pop- out chat or meeting chat you can also filter emojis by name using using a shortcode on your keyboard. However it is worth noting that this feature is not available for Teams mobile apps.

When will this happen?
Roll out for this will begin late April and complete late May.
